I’m so excited for Spring Trends! There are so many bold, colorful and fun fashion statements. I need to start my Spring shopping. Some of these trends you may already have seen all over social media and hopefully, I told you about some trends you haven’t seen yet.
Here are some of my favorite trends from the Runway. I hope you get some great inspiration! 😀 (P.S. this blog is long)
1. Bold Stripes- Bold and colorful. This trend you can wear a separate piece or top to bottom stripes. This trend you can get tops, skirts, dresses, pants, blazers. I think this style is a classic and will be trendy at least until next spring.

2. Khaki tones – I like the olive and dark green color. The great thing about khaki tones is that you can pair it with pretty much any other color. Plus khaki and olive green look really good on so many skin tones. These looks are great inspiration for work outfits or casual wear.

3. All Yellow-head to toe, banana. I use to wear color all the time in my high school days and early 20s. I’m not sure what happened but I feel like I never wear color that much anymore. With color being in the Spring Runways, I was in love. My goal is to wear more color (bright colors).

4. All Blue- I’m blue da ba dee da ba daa. This trend is about wearing different shades of blue in your outfit. Or you can wear the same shade of blue in different textures like Zendaya did for her Seventeen Magazine photo shoot. Looking at the other trends for Spring, you will see lots of blue.

5. Bra Top- I’m excited that crop top/bra tops are still trendy. When it’s a 100 degrees outside during the summer and humid, sometimes less clothing is best. But with this trend, you can wear a bra top in many ways. By its self, over a tee shirt, a baggy jacket over it, a sheer top over.

6. Ruffles- To me, ruffles say a great time💃🏾. But it’s also a soft, feminine romantic look. You’re going to see a lot of ruffles in tops; ruffles in the shoulder area, particular one shoulder tops and on the sleeves of the arm(s). You will also see the ruffle trend in asymmetrical dresses and voluminous skirts.

7. Neon- Standout and be bright. If neon scares you, you can add a little bit to your outfit. For example, add a pop of neon to your all black outfit.

9. Patchwork- For sure, we will be seeing this trend on everything such as denim jeans and shorts, denim jackets, bomber jackets, accessories like purses and tote bags. This is just a few examples. What’s cool about patchwork is that you can buy a look or create your own. With the patchwork is about mixing vintage fabrics and mixing prints and fabrics.

10. Flatforms- a way to make you taller without the heels! AHHHHHH. So basically, Flatforms are platforms heels with a flat sole. You can get flatforms in sandals or sneaker style and pretty much in every color. Depending on what style you are looking for you can find them from Public Desire, Urban Outfitters, Asos, even payless (which mine should be in the mail!)

11. PINK- Pink is a big trend this year. Whether it’s a baby bubble gum pink, pastel pink, bright pink or a dark pink. Your look can be head to toe pink or you can pair it with red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, brown, white, or black.

13. Flower Girl-Floral was all over the runways for Spring. You can wear a floral top, skirt, pants, shorts, a maxi dress, blazer, trench coat with a solid piece or head to toe floral, or a two piece. You can also mix and match the floral patterns, as long as they are in the size as floral or color tones. On the runway there were so many different looks, you can do a soft romantic floral pattern, bold, colorful, or for a retro inspired look.

14. Athletic Wear- The cool thing about wearing athletic wear is one you look like you are “fit” or at least you think that you do lol. Think Adidas tracksuit or Juicy Couture sweats. You can wear the track pants and jacket together or dress up the track pants with a button down top. Target has theses really cute track pants, I bought them but I forgot that I’m 4’10 (on a good day) and they were too big and too long.

15. Graphic Tee- graphic tees are always fun. You don’t have to do the normal band tee. I’ve seen some great graphic tees from forever 21 where they are ripped or have the lace tie up. I seen many bloggers at NYFW wear graphic tees with a powerful/inspiring/political message on it. Think graphic tees with an edge to your outfit.

16. White out- all white, oversized dress shirt, flowy, sheer, romantic look. You can complete the look with white, nude, or black shoes or go for a shoe with pop of color such as red, teal, or pink.

17. Sheer- Sheer can be “scandalous”, I mean it’s see through. But its beautiful and can be worn in a classy way, especially sheer lace. You can layer with a bra top, shorts, a leather jacket or if you’re feeling bold, go topless. It’s your prerogative girlfriend!
