My Go To Foundations

My Go To Foundations

Hi beautiful! When it comes to foundation I like something that is lightweight, buildable and hydrating. I have normal/dry skin and I feel like full coverage or matte foundations feel heavy and drying. When I apply my foundation, I use a brush. I am not a fan of beauty sponges! I also don’t use primer… I know, I know, I should. I do have primer and I use it occasionally for a long event or a photoshoot. I do use my Olay Complete Lotion Moisturizer with SPF 15.

My ride or die foundation is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15. This foundation is a water-based foundation that helps to moisturize and boost the skin’s glow. Because of the water-based formula, it keeps the skin looking fresh and like skin. If you want something that is natural and something that you (or other people) cannot tell you’re wearing makeup then this is your foundation. This foundation is $50, comes in 30 shades and sheer. For shade reference, I wear 6.25 Cool Golden.

The current foundation that I am loving is the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation! With the Fenty matte foundation being such a success, they had to come out with a hydrating foundation and I’m so happy they did! The Pro Filt’r foundation is an innovative medium to full coverage natural hydrating foundation. It’s comfortable to wear, it sinks into your skin making it look like a “better” version of your skin and it is buildable. The Pro Filt’r does oxidize a bit so if you can, you may want to go a shade lighter. This foundation is $35 and there are 50 SHADES!! For shade reference, I wear 390.

If you do want a matte foundation, go for the Colourpop No Filter Matte Foundation. It is also a natural finish foundation and it can be buildable to full coverage. Because it is a natural finish it does not feel heavy and it blends into the skin well. It is $12 and comes in 42 shades. For shade reference, I wear Dark 165.

I also recommend the L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation. I love that it makes the skin look dewy and hydrated and the best part is that it’s $12. The only downfall is that it only comes in 12 shades and you “can’t” match yourself.

What are some of your favorite foundations? Have you tried any of these?

Peace and Love

I really want to try the Colourpop foundation because it is so affordable! I’ve never tried foundation so that might be my first one!

Really! You don’t need foundation anyways! I think it’s a good one to try out.
