How I Style: an Orange Skirt + Lookbook

IMG_1509

This beautiful orange skirt is by Victoria Beckham from her VBxTarget brand. I love the fit, the pocket (yes, it’s a real pocket!) and how versatile of this skirt is. The 5 looks I did are all something I would wear to work or to a professional event depending on the setting or if I just want to be over the top lol. Hopefully, you will get some inspiration from these looks.

  1. The first outfit, I thought this skirt would look great with a chambray top, in my case a chambray dress. I’ve always wondered how stylish woman pulled this off but I think that I hid the fact that its a dress. What do you think? I added some leopard print flats to give this outfit some fun and paired it with gold and blue accessories.

2. Yellow and Orange complement each other so well. Because the colors are so bright, I kept the accessories simple and matchy-matchy with the yellow purse and orange/gold bracelets. I added my fitted black blazer because the top is sleeveless and I freeze easily. I also feel like it pulls it together and looks professional. I have 2 different shoe options, my beloved mules (lol I wear them every day!) and a pair of heels.

3. If you didn’t know, I BLEED ORANGE & BLUE!! GO GATORS 🐊 This is my favorite outfit in this lookbook. I may be a little bias haha. I paired this skirt with this baby tee that I tucked in with a matching cardigan and nude heels to pull the look together. Do I look cool with the cardigan wrapped around my waist?

4. If you’re not into wearing a lot of colors, this outfit is more “toned down.”  I paired it with all black and my brown snake-print crossbody bag. To me, the crossbody bag really adds to the outfit.

5. The last outfit, I decided to add this pink knock-off Zara blazer, that I got a long time ago on eBay. I got inspiration for this outfit from Instagram but I can’t remember who it was. Wearing two bright colors together is a bit scary because 1. people are going to stare and think your crazy and 2. you don’t want to look like skittles. I think this outfit works because I separated the skirt and pink blazer with the black top and pumps and I no accessories on so it’s not over the top.

Which look is your favorite 1,2,3,4, or 5? What would you wear with an orange skirt?

Fall Romper

IMG_1489

Rompers are great for all seasons! Well, maybe not winter. Rompers make great outfits and are easy to put together. They come in long sleeves, bell sleeves or if you have short sleeve rompers you can add on a leather or denim jacket. You can wear tights to keep your legs warm or wear a pair thigh high boots or booties.

With everything that is going on in the world, I just want to remind you to not take anything for granted. I want you to Laugh, Love, Learn, Live and Be KIND! Unfortunately, life isn’t all pizza and ice cream (or whatever your favorite food is) and we are all going through a battle, but remind yourself of all the positive things in your life.

How do you style rompers for Fall?

From Summer to Fall

img_2726

Right now, it’s officially fall in Florida. Its cold out in the mornings  (For the majority of Floridians, if its below 75 its cold lol) and warms up in the afternoons. What I enjoy about this weather is wearing tights, they will keep your legs warm when its cold out but when it does warm up you won’t get hot.

I decided to take a summer outfit and make it fall appropriate by adding tights, booties, and a military jacket vest. This outfit can be worn to a lunch date with friends, running errands around town (aka shopping), or for a day of classes.

Also, this crossbody bag is from Nine West. Even though its a small bag, it has many compartments, to fit all of your daily necessities. Its great for everyday use and very stylish.

Feeling Like Fall

Hey dolls!!

img_2728

When I first seen this shirt, it screamed FALL to me! I’m excited for fall, meaning I’m excited for the food lol. Theres dutch apple pie, pumpkin pie, PSL, Salted Carmel Mocha Frappuccino, of course great Halloween tutorials, dark vampy lipsticks.

Since it’s still hot in Florida ( which I am very thankful for!) I decided to pair the top with black high-waisted jeans and these cute lace up flats. To me, the colors in the shirt pop more with the black jeans. I feel like this look is simple but still very stylish. What’s your favorite fall food?

70’s Vibe

img_2609

Happy Saturday!!

How groovy are these pants?! The 70’s Flared pants is one of my favorite trends for this season. I’ve always wanted to be able to wear flared or wide legged pants, but since I’m so short, I stay away from them. Luckily, for me I found these amazing pair in the juniors department.

The reason why I love flare pants is because they make you appear taller and trust me being 4’10, I can use anything to give me height. I decided to pair these pants with a crop top and bomber jacket to pull off an updated 70’s vibe.

Mock Turtleneck Dress

img_2629

A major trend for this fall and winter is Mock Turtlenecks. We let this trend go in the early ’90s, but turtlenecks are making a comeback in a good way!

img_2621

This dress is prefect for fall. I decided to go with a jean jacket but you can also rock a leather jacket. This dress is so versatile. You can dress it up or wear it causal for any occasion such as work, date night, or a lunch with friends. To dress this outfit up go for a pair of  heels (I vote for leopard print) or a pair of wedge heels with gold accessories. To keep the outfit causal try pairing the dress with booties or lace up flats.
